One of the most important aspects of starting a successful home business, whether it is online or offline, is vision. You have to be able to see how you want to serve God and man with your specific gifts and talents. Unfortunately, no one along your education journey took the time to help you identify who you are and what you can do. My family has been on an educational journey for over 25 years. My late husband was an educational visionary who begged me to home educate our children for ten years before I finally gave in and agreed. The curricula available at the time didn't prove to be what we needed to raise entrepreneurs instead of employees so we didn't follow a set course.

To our surprise, our oldest son became a real estate investor when he was 18 and in just 3 years, brought his dad home from corporate America. When he left home to create his own life, he gave his dad the real estate portfolio and said, "If I did it once, I can do it again."

When his dad passed away in December, 2010, the residual income we had created continued to support the family.

But more important than what happened financially is what happened to our children as they learned to be leaders instead of followers. They have turned out to be different. When sharing the basics of entrepreneurial education with others at events such as this one through the years, others have discovered the same thing.

Education has so much potential but when students are expected to conform to mass ways instead of having customized experiences that enhance their strengths, it fails to produce the results we want for our children.
